Paper Mob Application

The PaperMob Application was an early conception of mine. It started several years ago, while I was the online editor for The Auburn Plainsman.

The concept was simple use QR codes (that funny looking square above) to bring print publications to life.

Consider the following: You were reading a copy of the newspaper on the bus, and you want to share the article with your friends or comment on it. With PaperMob, all you would have to do is scan that code and all the features of online articles would be at your finger tips..

Unfortunately after testing the concept we came to two conclusions, most people liked the novelty of it more than the actual product. More importantly I saw that augmented reality was going to wipe QR codes off the planet. Hence, it was not worth it to continue putting time and money into the project.

The Weebly site we used to test the application is still available.

Go ahead and scan that code if you want to see what the interface looks like.
